Brian Restall was Malta's National Contact Point (NCP) and Programme Committee Member for the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme, established under the European Community's Fifth and Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST).
He also held the post of FP6 Projects Coordinator for all projects managed by MCST, and previously was a Research Assistant to the Policy Unit and responsible for conducting the first National R&D and Innovation Audits exercise across the public, private and higher education sectors.
Brian was responsible for the scientific and administrative tasks of the local partner of two specific support actions running under the 6FP called IDEAL- IST34 and IST-Mentor + at the MCST. He also served as the Programme Committee Member for the IST programme, and NCP for the SEEM and IST ERA-Net networks.
Mr. Restall was also responsible as the local partner for a number of specific support actions running under the 5th and 6th FPs; namely IDEAL- IST (www.ideal-ist.net), IST-Mentor + (www.istmentor.net), Record (www.record-network.net), Starnet (www.project-starnet.com), FIST (www.finance-helpdesk.org), ERA PILOT MINA TSI (www.era-pilot.org), Tossad (www.tossad.org), the European Citizens Consultations (http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu).
He has delivered a number of workshops on effective participation in EU funding programmes across Europe, has served as a board member of the Fondazzjoni Temi Zammit and sourced substantial EU funding for its establishment. He has been very active in the establishment of 2 local high-tech start-ups locally in the field of flexible automation and robotics, and more recently in the renewable energy sector.
Here at PiM Brian is entrusted with the role of providing a coherent approach to projects in which PiM is involved, while creating a link between the individual project managers responsible for the execution of all project deliverables and Management. He is also responsible for establishing standard practices and procedures to be followed across all projects, while ensuring a smooth flow of the operations. Brian holds a degree in Psychology, a Masters in Business Administration. He is currently reading for a joint MSc.in Sustainable Environmental Resource Management at the University of Malta and an MSc. in Integrated Science and Technology at James Madison University (USA).

Mr. Stefan Schaa is a project manager at Projects in Motion Ltd. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Germany in 2007 with a German Diploma in International Political Management, Dipl. Pol.Before coming to Malta in 2007 he worked
at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences where he was a research assistant in different thematic fields like Global Integration, Integration and Diversity in the New Europe, Social Integration and the Welfare State, Intercultural Communication, Transnational Social Spaces and Multiple Citizenship in a Globalizing World. He also worked for the Centre on Migration, Citizenship and Development at the University of Bielefeld and was an intern at the Munk Centre for International Studies, University of Toronto. He has more than 2 years of experience in the European Unions’ Sixth and Seventh Framework Programme (FP6 / FP7), the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE), the Lifelong Learning Programme as well as other European R&D, civil society development funds. At Projects in Motion, Mr. Schaa is responsible for managing and coordinating a number of EU research and dissemination projects.

Ing. Kevin Alamango graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Malta in 1998.
Ing. Kevin Alamango graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Malta in 1998. Prior to entering university he worked in the financial services sector in the North African market for a few years and is currently reading for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with Henley College in the United Kingdom. Ing. Alamango is also qualified as a Six Sigma Engineer. Following graduation Ing. Alamango was employed as a Research and Development Engineer with Baxter, a leading medical device manufacturer, taking over as the Research and Development Manager in 2001. Through a team of R&D Engineers and technicians, Ing. Alamango has managed a number of large multi-national R&D programs ranging in scope from new product development to cost reduction programs, capacity expansion and profit maintenance. Since then Kevin has been mostly focused on providing energy audits and advice to local organizations on the modification of existing equipment/assembly lines, or the identification of new product equipment, in order to minimize energy and water consumption/treatment. He has recently been appointed as a Malta Enterprise Energy Advisor, for a national scheme driven by the Government of Malta to help local enterprises improve energy efficiency.
R&D experience relates to new products focused on new therapies from concept to design to equipment selection, contracting, procurement and validation of both product and process. This also included the CE marking of devices to Medical Device Directive 93/42 EC and applying related ISO and corporate standards to this product development in a robustly documented manner. In 2006 Ing. Alamango set up his own company, Engineria Ltd. with a mission to help its customers gain competitive advantage through product development, flexible automation, the application of vision systems and project management. He is involved in training customers in project management techniques as well as the Product Development Process (PDP). Ing. Alamango is also a Business Advisor for Malta Enterprise clients in the research, development and innovation sector.

Daniele is a Belgian lawyer who holds a Licentiate in Law awarded by the University of Antwerp and a postgraduate degree in Economic Law from the University of Brussels.
Ms. Cop has contributed to the submission of several FP6 proposals. She is currently involved in a Specific Support Action entitled "IST Financial Training and Web Portal for New Member States" (FINANCE-NMS-IST) and is also carrying out research on Gender in Employment issues, as part of a Centre of Excellence Civil Society project co-ordinated by the European Documentation and Research Centre of the University of Malta and supported by the European Commission.

Kenneth Bone is the Principal of Seasus, a Malta based Internet Technology and Multimedia service provider.
He founded Seasus in 1998, while still reading a B.Sc. IT degree at the University of Malta.Since then, Seasus has matured into one of the local leaders in the industry and is now providing its services in several countries including the UK, Switzerland, Israel and France.
In addition to his commitments at Seasus, Kenneth has also been invited as an evaluator for the eContent programme, is a contributor at various conferences and served as a consultant to several boards and organisations, including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris.
Kenneth has also been selected as expert to exclusively represent Malta in the United Nations framework of the World Summit Award 2005, a global initiative for selecting and promoting the best in e-Content and creativity.
Ing. Katia Mifsud

Ing Katia Mifsud graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta in 1999 following which she was employed at STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd.
During this time Katia worked in Quality Assurance providing support in quality related issues to the company's Set-Top-Box and DVD IC customers. Following a 3 month internship at ST Grenoble, France, Katia was responsible for the setup up of Advanced Failure Analysis Lab in the Malta plant. This included defect detection equipments such as hot spot analysis, EMMI, delayering and advanced SEM analysis.
For a period of 2 years, Katia was also responsible for the STMicroelectronics(Malta) Reliability Laboratory that performed lifetime testing on the semiconductor devices and detection of infant mortality problems.
Standard tools used to interface with the customers include the 8D methodology and report writing, FMEA, TOPS & SPC.

Damian is our hands-on project manager within sites.
He is responsible for all elements of project management: bidding, contract negotiation, scheduling, coordination and on-site management, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, personnel and subcontractor management and safety.
Damian provides us with sound financial information through cost estimates and cost reporting tools. He also serves as a resource for creative problem solving throughout the project, while ensuring our a commitment to recycling and sustainable building practices in the work place and our deliverables.
